A favorable farewell

It's been raining hard most of the day. After a few days of lovely sun, it seems like a necessity. A reminder we are in the Maritimes.

Lila didn't want to go anywhere today. Couldn't get her to leave the house much. So we spent a quiet day at home. I also did a lot of cleaning. It's mostly the papers that pile up. Even cleared out my old journals. They were just gathering dust in the bottom of my closet. Don't even want to read them. Just toss. Didn't realize I had so many (over a dozen) until I bagged them up for the trash!

Arrrgh!!!! You are throwing out personal journals?? Better they should go to a place that archives women's personal lives. Just think of you finding a bunch of diaries of women artists working in your genre(s)--would you be interested in readidng them?

I have no desire to run for public office, but I found the many many many papers of a woman PR person, who handled several political campaigns for a female candidate, absolutely fascinating.

And I am now processing and organizing the 9 or 10 cartons of papers of an art therapist. Her specialty is mandalas, and she has written several books about them and how to interpret them.

Nuff said--I talk about archives a bunch in my journal.

My journals are not something you would enjoy reading, Sue. Nor would I want my name attached to them. They are about very painful times in my life. I had asked Tamar not to read them and to throw them out if she found them after I die. So I am saving her the trouble.

They are still in the recycle bin so you can have them if you like as long as my name is not used.
