Afterwards

It’s very quiet around here. I drove Damian and Tamar to the airport yesterday. After eight days of an active eight year old and an exuberant nine-month puppy, the quiet is loud. I’m getting used to it, but it does feel strange. Just Lila and me. Damian said he didn’t want to go home. But now that he is there he says he likes being home more than he expected. He misses Lila and me. We miss both of them.

Leya I know just how you feel. R's neice and nephew and family left his parents place in Vernon during the first half of our visit and it was instantly so quiet. I quite liked having a lively bunch bussling about each day. Now I'm familiar with the quiet again, until Monday when we host the Vernon people.

Hey it sounds like you have really been painting up a tornado, I'm harnessing the energy from your last painting post. Looking forward to seeing them. As always Keep up the Great Work!

Oh BTW I heard a quote from Carlos Santana, (regarding borrowing ideas)he said that to get an idea from one person is to steal but to take from many people is called research. I'm thinking borrowing from a student is more on the research/inspiration and of the scale, and very flattering for the student!
